Getting Started

Take two......

My first go round didn't stick so I am starting over. Hopefully it will take now. The Avatar was neat. Not something I have ever done before. I think the kids would have a lot of fun creating something like that for themselves.

Found my first entry....

This was not as bad as I was expecting. Many of my fellow teachers said it took them up to 2 hours to complete. I guess I had already done half of it so creating the avatar didn't take as long as I was anticipating. I think the kids would have fun with something like that. I wonder if I could have a blog/journal for the music and theory they learn. Perhaps just a weekly entry. It certainly would get them writing (or typing) and would make the music more personal to them.

  3. I agree with you about the fun. My only concern would be where the fun ends and the functionality begins. The kids can entertain themselves for hours with a blog, but asking them to educate themselves would require a little more work.

  4. I don't think anyone can outdo Kim's, what with her guest appearance by gov'nuh Palin.

I do believe it can be functional for a fine arts class; they can learn yet another way to express themselves and find out new things, and that would be education and work, and yet they wouldn't consider it work since most of them want to be in choir or theater anyway.

  5. Hey there! I had to start over as well. I was trying to make it harder than it is. I learned to just follow the instructions exactly and not try to add anything to it. Good luck~
